This site intends to introduce you to my intellectual work since 1978 as a Native sociologist in arts; not only in Quebec and Canada, but also in other countries. It is structured according to the following three parts:

1) my general activities as sociologist, theorician, art critic and independant curator in artistic networks.
2) my specific involvement in Indian Art.
3) my curriculum vitae

 

Actual Art

In this first section, you can examine four dimensions with examples (texts or images) :

a) my own books or my participation in edited books presents some theorical aspects of my approach in search of alternative in art
b) writing art critic in magazines
c) a listing of my "conferences/performances"
d) as independant curator of art events

 

Indian Art

Huron-Wendat born in Wendake, I often says that art field became my imaginary territory and orality the way I exprim my native's identity. There I began my intellectual complicity with the new generation of India' artists, those I name the new " Hunters/Chamans/Warriors " by art in society. As for the precedent section, the same four divisions presents some of my activities to understand and promote indian Art :
